About Us
The Big Horn Basin Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution (BHBSAR) is associated with both the National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution (NSSAR) and the Wyoming Society of the Sons of the American Revolution (WYSSAR).
The chapter was organized in 2013 making it both the first and the oldest WYSSAR chapter. The established service area for the chapter is Washakie, Hot Springs, Big Horn and Park counties. The chapter is located in Cody, Wyoming.
The BHBSAR is focused on community service, providing a number of awards annually. These are the Bronze Citizenship award given to a deserving male high school graduate, a Flag Appreciation Award, and a Distinguished Service Award. The chapter also works on other projects that enhance the local communities.
However, in addition to the chapter activities, one of the main benefits of forming a local chapter is the friendship and common interests the members develop. We are always eager to welcome new members.
